Ship Type: Propulsion?

I believe this article would benefit from inclusion of propulsion information. From the painting of the ship we can see it has no masts. Was it steam-powered? 66.33.241.209 (talk) 00:50, 29 September 2012 (UTC) La'Eremita[reply]

The painting shows Friedland's launch. Ships of the time were launched, in common with ships today, without many of the features they came to possess after a period of fitting out. In the case of Friedland, she would have been fitted with her masts, rigging, guns, stores, and many other important features only after she had been launched. She was never steam powered, as the article infobox says, she was propelled by sails, arranged in a full ship rig. --Benea (talk) 21:21, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
